Rumours of a Fallout 3 remaster refuse to quiet down as new toy listings for still-unannounced project pop up in multiple places

Xbox and Bethesda still refuse to comment on those Fallout 3 remaster rumours, but where there's smoke, there's fire, and smoke keeps reappearing every few weeks.

It doesn't matter if Galaxy Studios isn't really involved in the making of the next remake-ish refresh of a Bethesda Game Studios RPG, as new figure listings from McFarlane Toys (hat tip to r/GamingLeaksAndRumours) are straight-up mentioning a "ELITE EDITION 7IN – FALLOUT 3 REMASTERED – #13 T-45B NUKA COLA" figure is coming out soon-ish.

Of course, there are reasons to doubt a single toy listing on Brodepot, but as pointed out by Toy News International, "these listings generally turn out to be true" as it's just distributors letting fans and figure collectors know in advance what's releasing in the coming months as pre-orders open. If you've been keeping track of McFarlane Toys' output over the years, you're familiar with the company being an "S tier leaker" like one Reddit user pointed out.

Need more proof? Other retailers and online stores are listing the product as well, with July and August set as the potential release months. In fact, some of them (including Brodepot) are already accepting pre-orders even if there are no images or official descriptions available yet.

"T-45B" confirms the new figure will be the classical power armour we know from the games' covers, though "Nuka Cola" could mean anything, from extra items to a custom coat of paint for the armour to a special edition within a larger line of figures. In any case, I think "Fallout 3 Remastered" is a crystal-clear confirmation that something is happening pronto, and there's not much room for doubt, unless Bethesda and McFarlane are, for some reason, deciding to call an upcoming toy line to celebrate the 2008 game exactly that, baiting everyone and their mothers.

This instantly reminds us of the recent 'dance' around the now-confirmed Assassin's Creed Black Flag's remaster, which was also affected by all sorts of leaks, including one of, you guessed it, a premium figure. Whether FO3 Remastered is coming this year or not, it's a project which feels like a no-brainer after the show and Oblivion Remastered's success. Take me back, Todd.
