Sekiro Jet Set Radio Mod adds skateboarding and graffiti to FromSoft's stylish ninja classic

The Dark Souls trilogy, Elden Ring, and Bloodborne remain the most celebrated and enduring FromSoftware games, yet the far more punishing and agile action of Sekiro shouldn't be forgotten, either. Over seven years later, the game that is often left out of the conversation when it comes to From's best titles is - at least - still getting some cool mods.

I know the words "Jet Set Sekiro" aren't something that you were expecting to read today, but you'll be glad it's a thing modder Ionian-MikiriyAKATotallyNotShinobi has worked on and knocked out of the park. Before I give you the full rundown of what this PC mod does and how it works, check out this video from user Mod Server:

By and large, Jet Set Sekiro turns Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice into a bite-sized Jet Set Radio spinoff which doesn't abandon the game's dark Japanese fantasy setting, complete with custom skateboard-based movement and "mid-air tricks" (because of course this mod creator went the extra mile). And no, it's not a complete overhaul of the entire game (though that would be cool); instead, it simply adds a separate level to the list of locations you can teleport to.

"Tag graffiti spots and cause mayhem, disturbing the peace in the Palace! Assault the Okami Gang on their own turf to waste them!" The official mod description has almost as much fun as Wolf doing sick flips around the largely clueless enemies. It even includes a graffiti mechanic that lets you tag specific spots GTA: San Andreas and Jet Set Radio-style.

The cherry on top might be the custom music, which perfectly sets the mood even as Wolf begins to style on and trash every fool he comes across. "This mod is like one of those secret levels you would get in an old PS2 game that made you want a full game from it," one user commented on the video shared above. I have to agree.
