Best Thursday college football, MLB and NFL picks at BetMGM Sportsbook:

  • Over 8 runs in Blue Jays vs. Red Sox (-105)
  • Army +4.5 vs. East Carolina (-110)
  • Cardinals +1.5 vs. Seahawks (-110)

Combining the model's three picks into a Wednesday MLB parlay at BetMGM would result in a payout of +611 (risk $100 to win $611). Bet it at BetMGM here:

Over 8 runs in Blue Jays vs. Red Sox (-105)

Brayan Bello has been solid most of the season for Boston, but he's sporting a 5.85 ERA in the month of September. Meanwhile, Louis Varland will be opening for Toronto in his 73rd appearance of the season. He won't go more than an inning and change, and the Blue Jays' bullpen ranks 16th in baseball in ERA this season. Bello's over/under for total strikeouts is 3.5, and his over/under for total hits allowed is 5.5. The model predicts that the Over hits 62% of the time.

Army +4.5 vs. East Carolina (-110)

Army is coming off a 12-win season and has already experienced highs and lows in 2025. The Black Knights lost to FCS Tarleton State in double-overtime, pulled off a stunning upset against Kansas State and then lost in overtime to North Texas. The Tarleton State loss is a head scratcher, but North Texas does appear to be the real deal, having already smashed Washington State 59-10 the week prior. Meanwhile, East Carolina is off to a 2-2 start with respectable losses to NC State and BYU. However, Army won this game 45-28 last season and the model says it covers the spread in 58% of simulations on Thursday.

Cardinals +1.5 vs. Seahawks (-110)

Both of these teams are 2-1 overall and 2-1 against the spread, and both defenses also rank top five in the NFL in points allowed. In a relatively evenly-matched game between division rivals, turnovers almost always play a factor and Seattle has been the more turnover-prone of the two teams. The Seahawks have given the ball away five times over the first three weeks of the season while the Cardinals have only turned it over once. The model says Arizona covers in 51% of simulations.
